Really? When I was in high school (ugh, almost 20 years ago), I could easily afford to pay $80 a month with my part time job. What did I need to spend my money on? Food? Thanks mom, dad, and school system! Housing/utilities? Thanks again, mom and dad! I'm not saying it's smart to pay that, kids these days have a surprisingly large disposable income.

I made even more money during college.
My craptop could use an upgrade like this!
The Nikon version takes incredibly poor pictures, which doesn't bode well for the Canon version.

I'm in the same boat as you, Randy. My 1st-gen iPhone actually feels noticeably faster with FW3.0 now. Of course, I had to wipe all settings, restore to factory conditions, and sync up from scratch to get it to finally work...
Woot Bag of Koi? Is that you? :P

/Why yes, I did use an emoticon!
It'd be hard to give up the iPhone, but I might be able to manage it for free. :)
.... and no, I did NOT JailBreak or unlock the iPhone at any point. I am that boring....
So far, it's been a big F-in' PITA. On my 1st-gen iPhone, mobile Safari doesn't work. It gets stuck and I can't quit or force quit it. In fact, I can't force quit ANY app using by holding down the home button! I tried restoring it, only to brick it with the ol' "Your iPhone cannot be restored. Error -9" or some BS.

Not so motivated to get a 3G S now, actually. I'd rather just switch networks and get a different phone. Screw you Apple and AT&T! I don't care if you vote me down, that's how pissed I am.
My GPS needs some lovin'!!!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am trying to configure out a really dumbed down and intuitive PC for my grandmother. She recently had a stroke and while she is under my care I would like to repurpose a laptop for her to surf and email her children. Anyone have any experience with what input devices and UI's are really understandable for the over 80 crowd?"
