I have to agree. Very creative. I enjoy reading it.
I almost fell off my chair laughing.
I make my living developing & supporting programs created off of MS programming languages and platforms. I make my fair share of licensing fees towards MS but these expenses are paltry compared to the income I derive from it. Although I am not making a competing OS (and I bet they are a great minority to the horde of programmers out there) I am no less bothered to give credit where credit is due. If they paved the road towards me earning my living in this world, you bet I am willing to pay the toll. But for heaven's sake, this fine is just too much. And where will the money go? Will they distribute it to programmers worldwide?
I just tried Ubuntu a couple of weeks ago, and I find it very user friendly and more than enough for everyday home use. If this trend continues, I can already see the death of Windows - at least in its current commercial form.
Got to admit my first install of Vista did not go well. Everything take minutes longer to run. Turned out it was just a freaking video card driver.

Now all of my 3 computers are happily running Vista. But then again this was months ago when Vista first came out, drivers were rare and online help are hard to find.
Got to admit that was hilarious
I wonder if the EU will entertain this suit. This is getting ridiculous.
Wow i used to play this in my Sega 16. And that was eons ago. I'll buy this for my daughters to enjoy on their DS.
Wow, that was close. I actually sent out a company-wide e-amil asking everybody to vote. But the site slowed down to a crawl, it's ridiculous
I didn't realize it has gotten this close. 4 of my computers just voted for you!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"My father-in-law is heading back to school in the spring and wants a laptop for Christmas. The only catch is their budget is around $400 and he does not want a netbook. He's not very "tech savvy" at all and doesn't need a hoss of a machine (not that $400 could get you one). We would like to get it for him as soon as possible and would love some input."
