I have nothing clever to say again.
I really have nothing clever to say.
It actually looks different than the original Adamo. In the pictures, it looks like the guy is holding it upside down, but I think he's actually holding it correctly. It looks like there are two separate pieces, one longer, and one shorter, just like the original Adamo. However, on the original, the longer piece was the keyboard and the shorter piece was the screen. It looks like they may have reversed that here? The longer piece is the screen and the shorter piece is the keyboard. That means that, because of the one-inch overhang of the longer piece, when you open the screen, the keyboard will be raised up at an angle. So basically, it's like the original Adamo flipped upside down and opened that way.

Of course, I haven't seen any pictures confirming my hypothesis, but that's what it looks like from the pictures.
So the military's best ideas are coming from Knight Rider, now? What's next? Fully autonomous vehicles?! Tires that can't go flat?! TV screens in cars?! That's kooky talk!

@ Thomas Ricker -

With all due respect to Microsoft, they never claimed that netbooks can't run Linux well (at least, not that I've read). They merely claimed that Linux-based netbooks see a higher rate of return than Windows-based netbooks because the Windows-indoctrinated users have more difficulty switching to Linux and getting it to run their old applications.

That being said, I'll give this new version of Ubuntu a shot, although I haven't been too impressed with them so far. Still a bigger fan of PC-BSD...

"San Jose spokesman, Sgt. Ronnie Lopez, says that Vandals somehow managed to thwart the safeguards securing this important element of the US infrastructure."

Vandals. Damn. First they put the beat down on Carthage in 439, then they kick the snot out of Rome in 455, and now they're screwing with fiber optics in San Jose!

IS THERE NO END TO THEIR WANTON DESTRUCTION?!
My plan for fixing the economy is to get this iPod Touch. Then, I can spend the money I would have spent on a Touch on something else. That helps to stimulate the economy. It's a trickle-down effect. This economy is on your shoulders, Engadget. Do the right thing.
"Nokia has just introduced the Maemo 5 Alpha devkit, especially for all you adventurous software developers who just can't wait to get your hands on the beta."

So, if the alpha devkit gives me the beta, what does the beta devkit get me?
Maybe this isn't an official feature of Canon firmwares for a reason. I read in a Nikon D90 review that the video mode causes the CMOS sensor to heat up quite a bit after about 5 minutes of video recording. It's probable that this is why more DLSRs don't offer video recording. Maybe Canon just doesn't want to deal with the repair bills from all those still-under-warranty cameras...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
