The fact that they are co-marketing can only lead to better things OMHO. i have no loyalty to netflix if bbi/tivo offer me downloads. even if only some of the movies are offered at first for download it would be nice to have that option when picking your movie titles. also be nice if you could choose titles via your tivo also
Be very interesting to find out how many cable company generic hd dvrs are returned when series 3 is out, that should be big message to cable companies and whats with this geographic cable monopoly? could someone explain to me why each area has only one cable company. thanks
you can go with the new subscription no upfront fee offer for hhigher monthly or just go to circuit city and buy what ever model you want and pay the reg $12.95 for first tivo and $6.95 a month for each additional. its not rocket science. as chris said above 1-100 channels are analog the rest are digital or high def, so these new dual tuner unit are great. i'm getting the 180hr and then series 3 for my hd sony. if you have a family, i suggest everyone upgrade with weaknees.com to 300hr+ minimum and record at top quality. we have 2 300hr and are always having to delete too early.
i don't care who they partner with as long as i get downloads and no editing, if its bb i'll drop my 4yr netflix sub in a NY minute
should really be titled tivo friendly ad big success, the promo was for tivo users......
KFC has rolled out a new campaign that drives consumers to replay a TV ad and decipher a code to receive a coupon for its new Buffalo KFC Snacker.

To crack the code, consumers must replay the TV spot in slow motion with a digital video recorder or VCR. When slowed, the spot reveals a "secret code" with directions on how to redeem a $1-off coupon for KFC's new Buffalo Snacker sandwich.
i'll you one of many reason to get a tivo over generic whether be sony or cable co. TRANFERS, the ability to transfer show to other tvs in the house is worth it right there, especially with the tivo wireless adapter they transfer 3 times faster than real time. i am not going to buy A series 3, i'm gonna win that one in the contest and buy 2 others :)
b o r i n g if true
my guess they announce access to all the museums archives via Tivo and broadband connection.
glad to see you woke up , now make sure you go wireless internet and buy 2 of the tivo branded wireless G adapters. hang on "honey, why are you watching commercials, ......true story" i'm back, l look forward to hearing about your elation when buy a series 3 hd tivo wen they come out later this year
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
