Toshiba's 320GB hard disk is world's largest 1.8-incher {Engadget}

Nov 5th 2009 4:15AM You've got a little conspiracy that hard drive makers are keeping the 5TB and 10TB drives away from you, it's just that they want to keep the current ones out on the market for the hell of making some money.
But, if you think about it, if they have a 5 and 10TB product, why not sell it at the 2TB price, and greatly reduce the cost of everything else, because it's last year's tech, right? That would increase the demand because the value is awesome AND the competitors do not have anything like it on the market.
Assuming they're not colluding together, which is illegal, so, na.
In the end, it doesn't make any sense.

And your SSD part..
Demand for SSDs is rising, and fast. As the price per GB drops, demand for SSDs increase. Of course the companies will want to make money. What else are they supposed to do?
As technology progresses, they will be able to make faster, cheaper, bigger (GB wise) products, yes. But if you're assuming they're putting some last year's tech out there, just to make your life harder and save some cash, then you're hella wrong.

WiFi-less iPhones roll off assembly line -- and into Chinese pockets? {Engadget}

Jul 15th 2009 5:37PM Apparently the carrier didn't want it or something. Or was it the government? I can't remember. Either one.

WiFi-less iPhones roll off assembly line -- and into Chinese pockets? {Engadget}

Jul 15th 2009 5:36PM Who knows? Although I'm certain the no Wifi thing is something Apple was not happy to give over.

iTunes 8.2.1 brings Pre's music syncing capability to a halt (updated) {Engadget}

Jul 15th 2009 5:22PM "Plus, use the Palm media sync feature to transfer your DRM-free iTunes music, videos, and photos to your Pre.6"

With the "6" at the end being:

"6 Compatible with iTunes v8.2. Compatibility with future versions not guaranteed. Within wireless coverage area only."

They did I guess :\ It's straight from their website.

iTunes 8.2.1 brings Pre's music syncing capability to a halt (updated) {Engadget}

Jul 15th 2009 4:34PM And what about the Pre syncing to iTunes? Who benefits there? Consumers?
Consumers would benefit if Palm made their own syncing software that is half decent. That way, there's more competition. Which means consumers win.
What Palm did is stupid. They took a risk and now their customers are going to suffer.

Besides, all that Apple is doing is just making sure that an iPod is an iPod. They're allowed to do that, right?

iTunes 8.2.1 brings Pre's music syncing capability to a halt (updated) {Engadget}

Jul 15th 2009 4:27PM Apple writes iTunes. Palm then finds a loophole in the code. They then code their Pre software in a way that it'll be able to sync to iTunes. They then advertise that it'll sync to iTunes and make coffee.

Apple naturally doesn't like bugs in their software, just like most of us don't like bugs in food. So they get rid of the bug. Pres can't sync, and yeah.

What Palm should have done is make their own nicely syncing software. Which they didn't. So they're facing the consequences.
