Maybe because this was advertised as a "Mac Event"?
The 160GB harddrive on the Apple TV was there before. Don't remember when it was released but it's been there a few weeks.
I'm sorry to still be nagging about this but what use do you have for 3G when the coverage in the US still is so crappy?

And all you who wants a harddrive and 3G - would you be content with just 50% of todays battery life?

Come on - grow up and realize you can't have a device that includes every feature ever made.
Nice - a 27 minute video of someones hand with the occasional glimpse of a screen.
Now there's a waste of bandwidth.
I still don't understand the nagging about lack of 3G in the US - there's still not enough coverage to use it.
Dunno if this is a good thing.
Within in the next 6-10 years the broadcasters will find the customers demanding HD broadcasts and find that the frequencies they once had that could cope with the bandwidth are no longer available.
Well, as many have already said - Leopard in itself is not holding me back when it comes to upgrading, Tiger is excellent as it is.

What IS holding me back is the lack of Core 2 Duo power in the Mini setup. Let's just hope that Steve releases C2D Mini in June and I'll happily upgrade to Leopard in October.
This is the same as for all the yelling about the iPhone lacking 3G - what use do you really have for a 3G device in the US when the coverage is so lousy?

Pretty please with sugar on top?
Worldwide? Well, that's like sooo nice! ;)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
