Awesome, so now not only will you get crappy service from a clueless employee who doesn't give a damn, but you'll also get a similarly clueless installer.

But then again, if you're getting your home theater components at Walmart, you probably won't know the difference if they screw up (and will be on the phone with tech support either way).
I was hoping for the music store to get a bump in audio quality (Most people have the connections nowadays to DL Apple Lossless). But instead we get more "bonus" crap to download with the same 256kbps files. Pass, I'll stick with buying CDs.
Dayle: "Haha something else the Americans won't be getting, I love Japan, they are giving the Yanks a taste of their own medicine"

Phillips is an Amsterdam, Netherlands based company, not Japan. FAIL
3kbps downstream and 2kbps upstream?! Are you guys sure it's not supposed to be in mbps? Just find it hard to believe that satellite communication (especially for robotic control and data systems) would top out at early 90's speeds.
Sweet TV, I could use one!
Leopard 10.5.2 also wasn't released. Hopefully Apple isn't going the way of Windows with bugs, because there's some definite problems that 10.5.2 needs to repair (ie: Adobe CS3 suite)
I'm using mine for graphics and editing as well, and probably one of the most important things to remember is definitely the RAM. Just order the tower with base ram configuration and get more from a third party (try transintl.com or other world computing). Decent places like these have great prices/quality and you'll save yourself a lot of cash over what apple charges. Just look into the retailer before you buy though (resellerratings.com)
I just got one of these out of frustration after my new HP desktop arrived dead last week (motherboard was bad). I'd have to say it's probably the best computer decision I've ever made - insanely fast, EXTREMELY quiet and it looks damn good too. Mac OSX is ok as well..I like it over windows but I'm not joining the Mac cult anytime soon though.

For 2,799 (w/education discount) you can't beat it for the specs and the beautiful layout of the inside, which makes installing hardware much easier than combing through the rats nest of PSU wires and odd drive placement on most built to order PCs.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a wireless trackpad to use with my older (2.5 or so years old) C2D MacBook that's perpetually docked to my home theater. Something sleek, thin, not too small, made of high quality materials. Ideally, it would natively support all of (Snow) Leopard's multitouch inputs, and even more ideally, it would have a charging dock / base. The only problem is that I'm not sure that such a thing even exists. Think you can throw me a bone?"
