in season 1, the CTU was almost entirely macs. at least there were cinema displays and powermacs at every desk. the macs slowly faded away in CTU through the next few seasons until this one. last november-december i rewatched all the seasons and noticed the trend.

i read that too and its a little misleading. the pool used for the olympic trials up until 2004 (the IU Natatorium at IUPUI in Indianapolis) is about 3 meters deep and dates back to the 80s. they made it that deep for the explicit reason of making it a "fast" pool. i dont know about the pools used in Athens or Sydney, but i would be surprised if they were the "standard" 6 feet.

my MBP (2.16 GHz Core2Duo pre-Santa Rosa running 10.4.11) occasionally skips the first letter. it does it the most when i click on an input field on a website.
