I've personally never had a problem with wifi post-3.0
While I don't really think he needed to bring it up nearly as often as he did, let's be honest: anyone reading a review of the Palm pre will want to know how it compares to the iPhone, which is seen as its major competition. Not mentioning the iPhone at all, or how current comparisons might be skewed because Apple is releasing a new version, would make a pretty bad review wouldn't it?

All that said, Mossberg's certainly known to be an Apple-guy, and he didn't need to mention them nearly as much for a balanced review. (Full-disclosure, I have an iPhone. And not upgrading anytime soon).
Shouldn't it be obvious that this isn't real? You'd expect Palm/Sprint to have Pre images of somewhat decent resolution. Even I could get better pics than that off Google images.
Yeah sorry but I gotta call fake, I downloaded the background and tried it myself. The pixel levels are zero for all the areas that appear black in the original image. There is no detail that can come out of the black areas, no matter what filter you have, if every pixel is just set to zero. I think someone's idea of further image manipulation is "copy & paste".
You can get a white Macbook with the same specs (except 2.0 vs 2.4 GHz) for $1274, while the retail for a studio xps 13 is $1099.

You could argue that you need the 2.4 GHz processor, which bumps you up to the most expensive model of the aluminum Macbook. But will the average consumer notice the difference in a nominally 20% faster processor, keeping in mind all the other specs are the same?

Your point still stands in that, to exactly match specs it'll cost you a lot more. But it also completely ignores the fact that Apple IS giving value-conscious consumers a very similar option.
Please please PLEASE don't use pictures of absinthe that are on fire, it's a surefire way to get most people riled if they care about absinthe. Although a very vocal minority of people argue that setting your absinthe on fire is traditional, in my mind no one's been able to substantiate that.

And even if it was authentic, just try drinking the stuff! It masks the somewhat delicate flavours with the taste of charred sugar. Surely not what a slashfoodie would consider "improvement".
This is a stupid question, but have you rebooted your phone since the install? Mine was acting very flaky after the install, especially the keyboard, but after a reset it's been just as stable as 2.2
@Alex S

go here: http://developer.apple.com/iphone/index.action

That's the main iphone dev website, you can log in from there. To access the 3.0 software, click on the (not very obvious) 3.0 tab near the top.
From what I understand, this is not an exploit and doesn't require jailbreaking... it's just another part of the SDK that apple hasn't publicly announced or documented. Anyone with the iPhone SDK should be able to build video-out into their app and run it on a regular iPhone, or even theoretically release it to the app store as long as apple doesn't notice. I will probably test this out myself soon, at least to prepare in advance if apple decides to include this in the next SDK release.
Actually, I'm a little bit confused. I had assumed that there would be an extra contact on the connector for the new in-ear headphones, but the tip actually looks the same as the regular iPhone headphones! There is a good shot of the new connector in the gallery, and it looks exactly the same as the iPhone headphones I've got.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I love my little computing companion but I often find myself missing a full sized keyboard. I have been looking at several of these portable and flexible keyboards, but I can't seem to make up my mind about which I should buy. I don't want the keyboard to be overly expensive, but I want it to be good quality. Also, how difficult is it to type on these keyboards? Thanks!"
