this is a toy. And, hopefully, it will get kids interested in music.
As for it being junk... maybe.
But not much junkier than what you can get now for $25 (a used strat copy?) and it will give the kids something to play with other than the real guitar. (My parents unwittingly let me play around with my mom's old $50 guitar she had from college. Thankfully I didn't break it: it's a 1935 Martin. Yikes!).
I'm pretty sure you can see Corsica from the Nice airport. (almost).
I hope the "wood" panels are actually the stick on vinyl stuff for lining kitchen drawers.

If you think about it, all post-analog synths do something very similar: software with a hardware interface.

"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
