Gahh, that was supposed to be in reply to James Dusenberry.
How would you propose we save these DVDs? Print them out frame-by-frame and make flipbooks?

The fact of the matter is, we have way too much information now to every print it all out or have it all represented in completely tangible formats. But just like the founding fathers counted on the fact that people in the future would still be able to read what they wrote, I think we can be pretty sure that people in the future will still be able to read our digital data.
An important consideration in trademark law is that a generic term cannot be trademarked. This holds true even if the term becomes generic *after* the trademark is obtained. This is why, for example, Coca-Cola makes damn sure that when you go to a restaurant and order "Coke", you get a Coca-Cola. If the term "coke" became generic, Coca-Cola would lose their trademark over it.

That's just one example out of a zillion. In this case, Psion didn't defend its trademark and "netbook" has now become a generic term. As such, it can no longer be trademarked.

"Ideas are tested by experiment. That is the core of science. Everything else is bookkeeping."
Hahahahaha. Epic fail.
Yeah, the integration story for Windows Mobile is just awesome. I accidentally shattered my phone about a year ago so I had to go pick up a new one. I just had to enter my email address and password, and all my contacts, email, calendar, and tasks were on my new phone by the time I made it back to the car from the door of the T-Mobile shop.
Works just fine on my HTC S730.
Haha yes, got to love that plan! I have been using the unlimited Internet access for years while enjoying the low, low price.
It has a SD card slot now, but the tradeoff is that it only comes with 512 MB internal memory.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
