this is the set i was hoping sony was going to announce! i'll pay for 120hz, but not 240hz. i'm willing to pay a small premium for yahoo widgets. slim dark bevel (looks nearly identical to z series from 2008). bravia engine 3 is a nice bonus.
"Of course, we're pretty certain most people understand that reality and advertising don't really have anything do with each other, but we're not the ones in charge"

i can't believe that you're actually defending a company misleading customers! oh wait, this is engadget and we're talking about apple, never mind...
i'm suddenly feeling A LOT better about dishing out top dollar for a first gen iPhone. jailbreak ftw!
another vote for the nup! much faster and more accurate once you master it.

i've got a t61, and i only use the track pad for the corner functions (middle click, maximize, etc.).
i know what you mean man. i'd buy one RIGHT NOW!

but i have a feeling we're not going to see them until june. based on the specs (display port, e-sata, etc.), it sounds like it's going to be Montevina (aka Centrino 2).
i also for in option 1:
connect mic
connect speakers
when i get home with my laptop...

option 1:
connect flaky usb hub or two (keyboard, mouse, external hard drive, CF reader, etc.)
connect external monitor
connect power supply

option 2:
dock
no docking station is a deal-break for me for all asus laptops (excluding the v1/v2, but they lack penryn)
not available yet in canada (ie. dell.ca)
nikon works best if you use their software as opposed to 3rd party. this was more of an issue in the past, when capture nx was early in development (v1.2 was the first won that worked well for me), and when it wasn't free with the purchase of a D300/D3.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
