Serious question to Matt: Are you retarded?
If they can fit internet through HDMI now, I don't want to hear any excuses from them in regards to closed-captioning over HDMI.
I sincerely believe that Warner not only wants to go Blu, but that they NEED to go Blu. If this stupid-ass format war keeps going on, there will not be a market for high-definition movies on disc, PERIOD. It is in Warner's best interest (as well as everyone else's best interest) to go with the leading high-definition disc format and put an end to this bullshit. Otherwise, neither side will definitively "win" out over the other and neither side will ever take off. Sooner rather than later would be much appreciated.
I don't know if I should actually admit to this, but I'm from Alabama. Montgomery, to be exact. I guess that I'll dispel all the rumors and misinformation. Despite what you've all been told, we don't have that much money here. I know, it's shocking. Yet we still owe our children an education of some sort. We're losing a lot of students in the public schools every year, but contrary to what you're all thinking, we're actually losing a high degree of those kids to private schools, not dropouts. The public education system in parts of this state are in an embarrassing disarray. Due to our lack of funds for- well, anything, really - we cannot afford to update the PCs in the public schools as often as we should. The OLPC program is being used for exactly what it's supposed to be - poor school districts. These kids will get a chance to learn computer skills that they'll be able to use later in life so that they too can get jobs that pay worth a shit. So this doesn't even come close to addressing all of the problems and deficiencies that exist in the education system here, but at least it's a decent start.
So basically, it can't stop, won't stop?
Modding consoles isn't illegal, stupid-ass. Pirating games is.
He's not a racist. He's right. There's nothing racist about what he said in the least. China has virtually no emissions standards. That's why the smog is so bad. I mean, the article itself said that the state tried this same idea earlier and saw the smog go away. Shouldn't that tell you something? If we in the US were smart, we would get the jump on everybody with green technology.
With existing hardware. This is just the latest version of the software development kit (SDK).
"'although one could easily argue that Ford is the one building the better vehicles as of late'

What??? Is the author serious?

Please, someone "easily argue" that."

It's really simple. The new Camry has seen a bunch of recalls. The Fusion has not.
Why don't ditch the Mercury Montego in the United States and sell the Mercury Mondeo in its place? It would be unique (in the US lineup at least) and provide a legitimate reason for Mercury to still be around.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
