Listening to the video, the designer is saying that besides being able to sit in the chair in any orientation you want and being form-fitting, the chair was designed with elders in mind. The chair helps them get up as it tries to maintain it's original shape, providing the push needed to stand up.
Kinda weird that the sensor still has the Apple logo on it. I guess they didn't want to spend the money or time to make a separate style sensor.
Actually, ethanol, hydrogen, etc. They are technically all net energy losers, it will always take more energy to move something from lower energy to higher energy as anyone whose taken chem 101 knows or else the perpetual motion machine would be in existence.

It just depends on how we make this energy source, hopefully by more environmentally friendly methods (solar, wind, etc).

Segways seem very useful on our university campus (ASU). Employees use it so that they can quickly get from one department to another without having to deal with parking and locking a golf-cart. Also, since it is so dang hot out, you don't want to get all smelly/sweaty power-walking across campus to get to a meeting on time.
AWESOME! Was totally in the market for one too!

"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
