Once a Taxi cab, always a taxi cab.
Meh... back looks like a mk 1 Golf. Not exactly attractive. Hope the original will look better!
Pity, Montreal was always one of the better tracks. Most of the new tracks are dull and the time difference with Asia is a real problem for us European fans. It means either getting up at some ridiculous hour to watch it live or make sure you don't read/hear any spoilers before the repeat is aired.
I'd love to see F1 hitting the African continent some time (yeah right!), and Laguna Seca in North America would make for an amazing race!
There's a lot of people talking a lot of BS here. First of all, there are a number of high performance cars squeezing around 200hp/l out of their engines. For example the Evo IX FQ400. Only difference is that a lot are not normally aspirated.
As for 1000cc, high performance bikes not lasting 100k km. That's just ridiculous. Maybe a Ducati or Aprilia wouldn't, but they already start falling apart after 100km of driving. The high performance bikes from Kawasaki, Yamaha and Suzuki can quite easily reach high mileages if well maintained.
Sorry Garmin, I've been a happy owner of a Nuvi 660 for a year now, but unless some major functionality steps are made in the next iterations, I'm buying a TomTom next time round...
This guy is a bit of an idiot. How many gold Murcielago LP640s are there is AZ. Its gotta be a piece of cake to find this guy. Doing a whois for his website reveals some more info (assuming its correct):

Judging by the email address he's in the pron business... lucrative!

What the article doesn´t mention is that this technology was developed by 4 students during the 12 week Extreme Blue internship program. I've seen and played with the system at the expo in Hursley this past week, and it is very impressive indeed!
The plates are permanently tied a particular car here in Holland, so that's not a problem. They also don't check if you have a license when they list the license plate on your name.

Also, the writer of this story has evidently never been to the Netherlands. There's a lot more weird stuff on the road in the US than over here!
Stratojet & Rene Curry, you have no idea what you're talking about. Read the most basic book about marketing and see if you still think what you said makes sense.
I really don't like the idea of having a navigation screen set that low in the dash. As far as I'm concerned I'd want it up as high as possible. Some car manufacturers don't seem to understand that that is the safer option.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a wireless trackpad to use with my older (2.5 or so years old) C2D MacBook that's perpetually docked to my home theater. Something sleek, thin, not too small, made of high quality materials. Ideally, it would natively support all of (Snow) Leopard's multitouch inputs, and even more ideally, it would have a charging dock / base. The only problem is that I'm not sure that such a thing even exists. Think you can throw me a bone?"
