Wow, what a very PC like case arrangement. Anyone notice that the ports are now in 2 columns (unlike previous G3,G4,G5s and more like PCs), the PSU is on top, etc. Why are there 2 fans in the front and only one in the back? It looks like a cross between a sloppy PC case and G5 Aluminum case: its ugly. On the plus side there should be some cheap PowerPC Quad G5s to pick up.

Fanless? Most Via MII boards over 1GHz have a CPU fan. I agree about the noisy hard drive. By looking a the pics in the link, it seems their case provides no room for the available PCI slot. shame.
from the flash site:
"aggressive forward-leaning design"
"stabilizing fin"
"user-controllable lighting with 7-color choices"

for $10K you think they could design something that would stand on its own without training wheels/fin. It literally looks like a space heater that might topple over or a jet engine ready for the bird test. BTW, what hardcore gamer has that kind of cash?
much better design than the PS3 controller, and more innovative than the revolution controller.

seriously though, its like robotics meets video iPod or PSP. why not take it a step further and add legs to a tablet computer?
sounds like the chirp problem with the rev A PowerMac G5s. I have one, it chirps just like a lot of those old 80s computers. i think its bad ass. computers do make noises just like anything else, get over it.
Doesn't this make people closer to becoming cyborgs? sweet.
i'll take a nano over the shuffle any day: linux for videos and stuff.
that hand position is the same one used for the original iMac puck mice
I for one welcome out steam powered overlords
So if the machine is barely any different than before why does having an Intel CPU suddenly change everything? People talking about switching now that its intel. Why not switch before?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
