100% of deployed unmanned ground vehicles are fully teleoperated.

There will only possibly be automated firing on systems used for extreme security, like nuclear weapon storage.

Automated target detection and tracking will certainly help the effort though. With the time lag and difficulty of remote operation, automated aiming will literally be a life saver -- for friendlies.

They don't save pen stroke information, right? That generally greatly helps with handwriting recognition.

If I need to type my notes from reading the images, I may as well just use a laptop. That's why tablets are interesting: they have processing to enable your notes.
I work in Computer Vision.

There is a process called Super Resolution. One form of the algorithm is tracking features between frames in a video sequence. Those correspondences are used to align images to compensate for scene and camera motion. Interpolating across multiple aligned frames is much better than single image interpolation.
