Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
Holoshoo, William A Scott, aka. William Scott Esq is a disbarred attorney lobbyist who posts using many aliases. I have reason to believe that this person is associated with the invention promotion business. I believe that there is a high probability that the poster is one of the infamous people the FTC prosecuted in Project Mousetrap. A number of the people so prosecuted have since been found to have violated consent agreements they agreed to and have been the subject of further FTC actions.
It was alleged that Robert N Waxman was the ring leader of the syndicate of invention promoters which the FTC took action against.
Readers can read about the characters involved at www.InventorEd.org/caution/. Mr. Robert N Waxman is addressed at www.InventorEd.org/caution/waxman.
Invention promotion fraud is a serious problem where each aspiring inventor is typically defrauded of $10,000 to $50,000 dollars. The industry is conservatively taking in at least $500 million annually.
American ingenuity which is protected by patents is the only thing standing between our current standard of living and a precipitous drop. American inventors must be protected from invention promotion hucksters and big corporate patent pirating shysters alike because it is they who will create new jobs, industries, and prosperity for all.
