Damn you.
@Proud Japanese

Dell makes some fantastic monitors, and while their consumer grade stuff might not be all that great they make very solid enterprise equipment.
@in5ane called PCI SATA cards... I've never seen an atom mobo without at least 1 PCI slot. Plus, if you really wanted to build an equivalent you'd have an expensive RAID card for your sata ports anyway.
@Zuato Ironically, you can't run linux on the new PS3s... just the XMBC default stuff
alternatively, they could just buy cell bladeservers from IBM... but hey, why not get them from the source that sells them with 3/4 of the SPEs available instead of, you know, 4/4.
I would probably jump ship to Microsoft for online gaming because at least they would have been up front from the beginning about online play.
I always have two USB A->mini B cables plugged into my PS3 to charge controllers since I don't have one of those neat contact chargers yet (definitely on my list of 'cool stuff I'd want to play around with though) and then I generally will plug in flash drives, keyboards, etc, as needed. Both BC and the extra USB ports are nice, and I'm glad I got the 80GB over the 40GB when I bought mine in late 2007. I don't know whether I'd be turned off from buying it without the USB ports, but then again, I don't play rck band.
it says "all standard smaller sizes"... which presumably includes true 1080p, 720p, etc.
depends on whether it's DTS or AC3. It can range from a couple hundred kbps to a couple mbps. I would guess however that the HDMI version is video only because they just need to install a different adapter on the DVI version rather than changing the internals at all.
@coolbho3000 Open source doesn't mean it's just out there for companies to do anything with. It's still under a license and Sony is a bit too high profile to just blatantly abuse things (cough, rootkits)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
