Google's problem in Europe is the fact that it isn't one country. Most (European) people use navigation systems when they're travelling to an unfamiliar destination. In a lot of cases this is a foreign holiday. While they might have unlimited data plans on their phone in their own country, this won't be the case when travelling abroad. Meaning Google's navigation is effectively useless in any country other than your own. Sure there might be a way to cache a route when you're still at home, but that is far from a solution.

Isn't this the same technology Philips used?
I've seen that in action on a 40" or something IRL, not all that impressive.. how is this different?

I don't know guys, but what exactly is new here? All these things have been done before haven't they? The guys are even wearing gloves... and on the software side of things it's not that different from all the tabletop surface type interfaces. To be honest I don't see what all the fuss is about, sure it's a nice demo of a nice implementation, but nothing really revolutionary or even new...

Wow, Sony supporting SD..? I might actually consider buying a Sony camera (video or photo) if they start supporting SD on those as well.

Really like how the wallpaper slides a bit when switching between 'desktops', gives it that sort of artificial 3d thing with the different layers moving at different speeds when you scrol through the screen, like those mario and donkey kong games on the SNES for instance.

As i gather from the Dutch text the i900 does include a GPS receiver, eventhough Unwired View says it doesn't. The problem is the Dutch sentence is formulated a little weird. But what I think it says is that another specification that isn't on the list (the piece of paper next to the phone) is a GPS receiver and extensible memory up to 8GB
