Too bad it's a ripoff of a series of custom lights made over a year ago by an individual.

If it's a Cree XR-E or a Luxeon Rebel or high-bin K2 TFFC, it should be fine.

Depending on current, each of those LEDs can put out over 200 lumens.
It's not really Festivus, either.
I used to have problems with USB crashing. The keyboard is USB, that's why mine was freezing. It stopped after maybe 10.4.6 or 7.
Price out a Mac and a comparable non-Mac, then come and tell me there's an Apple premium again.

"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
