'Now I'm not saying that I've been everywhere and I've done everything, but I do know it's a pretty amazing planet we live on, and a man would have to be some kind of FOOL to think we're alone in THIS universe.'
You know what Jack Burton always says... what the hell?

Wow I see that you are a patriot of the U.S. And you like to imagine children getting raped and put to the death by our soldiers. You should probably pick up a book from you local library sometime and try learning more than what conspiracy theorists on message boards try to preach. And in the atempt that it was suppose to be some hack witty satire; it wasn't funny. You should kill your self.
You have two options in reality. One is that you burn the bought music to a CD and then rip it to your Zune marketplace. Two you get a media rights stripper and convert the files into mp3's.
Recently my ipod nano went through a terrible accident that involved my shorts and a washing machine. So I thought about my options, buy an ipod or find something else. I have to admit that I love the apple itunes software and it works rather well in my opinion. But I deceided to give the Zune a chance. I bought the Halo 3 edition Zune, because I am a fan of the series. To me it is like buying sports related material for a football team I like. Except for the fact that I actually would pick playing video games over watching espn sports any day of the week. After a weeks worth of using the Zune, I can say I like it.

There are three cons with the device:

1. One the Zune Marketplace could use a lot of work. Hopefully sometime in the near future they will have some sort of Video marketplace items to buy. They should also make it so that you can see the money system in actual dollars instead of marketplace points. The one thing the Zune marketplace has going for it is that you can pay a monthly fee to listen to as much music as you want. I was a Napster user and loved that option. I like paying the price of 1 CD a month to listen to as much music as I want.

2. I had to buy ImToo DVD to Zune ripper to bring DVD related material to my Zune. The first movie I ripped to my Zune was Hot Fuzz and the sound and video is crystal clear. Awesome experience. What sucks is that the software didn't come with the Zune. I know there is Freeware software out there that will not cost you a dime. But this software is as easy a push of the button.

3. For God Sakes include an AC adaptor with your product. That one goes out to Apple as well. Stop being cheap bastards.

I would recommend the Zune to others. Especially if you are a Halo fan. I don't think right now it is better than the ipod. But I don't necessarily think the ipod is better than the Zune either. As always .... METAL!
or wait for it to be on sale on ebay without having to join the military. just a thought.
Has anyone here seen star trek movie one? Do you really want that to happen to you because a teleporter "technician" screwed up? I would prefer tube technology over my atoms being taken from one spot and being reassembled in another. If you think that is kewl check out the movie The Prestige sometime and then let me know what you think.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
