BGR should try to restore the phone, and while he's at it try to grab the final firmware.
Hopefully this will drive Centrino 2 prices down, by the time they are released in July. I want to jump on an E-series latitude but I can foresee high prices for the new technology.
Except when your local BB is convincing your grandparents they require Monster Cables. I'm all for audiophiles blowing all their cash on this stuff. It's a different story when you're prey on innocents, e.g. the vast majority of the world that take a salesman at their word.
The fugly keyboard aside, thats a pretty feature packed device. The price is also packed...
I've been using the Dell OEM BIOS for nearly six months. This hack has been out for a while now. I guess now Paradox decided to slap their name on it, it becomes official.

I guess one argument is that, last I checked, it was only Asus and HP bios. Now you can use Lenovo and Acer as well.
If you were to remove the speakers and web cam, probably relocate some of the circuitry, you most certainly can install a larger screen in there.
You know, maybe if the normal non-iPhone articles got more attention (e.g. comments), then maybe TUAW would focus more on them? Obviously as every iPhone article generates more than 50 comments, SOMEBODY cares.

Ignore it and eventually all the iPhone news will go away.
If Apple ever released a dev kit, it would be sandboxed so tight, you probably would not even get network access without express written consent from Steve Jobs himself.

This method is better. We have unlimited access to the network and the phone hardware. Harder to program for, yes. But I think the advantages speak for themselves (pseudo-GPS, anyone?)
Because adults might have important business to attend do, so they allow them hands-free. Teenagers would just be talking about who broke up with who, who is giving BJs to who, and pointless etcs like that.
Here is the issue no one has talked about. The iPhone battery.

Want a replacement, but you illegally unlocked your phone? No replacement for you!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
