The ads make no sense. Well I guess they make sense if you dont understand computers. They mention RAM in every commercial, the quantity of RAM is totally irrelevant when talking PC and MAC. 1 GB or RAM in a MAC is like 4 GB in a PC. Ive had several high end PC laptops. The least expensive of which was a Sony VAIO I paid $1299 for. If youre a Windows fanboy good for you buts its only because you havent spent a month with a MAC and come to realized how lean it runs. I have a 3 year old MACBOOK. I never turn it off. I simply close the lid, when I need to use it again I open the lid and im on the internet in less than 30 seconds every time. All my Windows machines were ok but not even close to as fast. @Windows fanboys: continue to use your slow-fisherPrice-looking machines.....youre only wasting your time.
Ive had multiple Windows laptops, Dell, Sony, 2 HP's and a Gateway back when they were "nice." They all lasted about 6 months before becoming totally worthless. All required a software reload. The platform is garbage, the components are worse. Apple is more than a name, they make a great product, they dont settle for anything less than high quality components and software. You will no doubt pay more for the unit itself but it will be much more reliable. I have not had a single problem with my MacBook since purchasing it 3 years ago! Its as fast as it was the day I bought it, until you have used a mac you really have no idea what youre talking about, windows is awful. Stop being stubborn, use a mac for a week or two and youll never go back.
windows mobile is garbage......get an iphone or G1 and use Google Documents....cant coach that
Windows Mobile is hot trash........
thats not an unlock you tool shed, that just allows you to use the phone without the g1 data package.
I like how Verizon uses CDMA and it forced to put GSM and a SIM in their phones so they can call them world phones, and then customers buy them because they think there special because theyre called world phones.......how embarrassing.....oh and by the way, no one will touch the iPhone, it runs OS X.......honestly!
Do work son!
First off Blackberry smokes any other smart device out there. All windows devices seem nice at first, then you start using them and their processors are god awful. They all freeze, crash, reset, etc. If you have ever used a Blackberry 8700 or a Pearl with an Intel Processor you would understand how much better they are than Windows trash.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
