Really?!? Really, Mr. Maniacal Laughter?
Why are we talking about this guy? Why should anyone--the crew, the director, the studio or the audience--put up with this kind of ranting, spoiled behavior? This is the same guy who assaulted his mother and sister--they filed a complaint on him. Life's too short to put up with pricks like Bale, and movies are too expensive to make and see for anyone to underwrite this a-hole.
It just blows my mind that a company as rich and powerful as MS cannot get an MP3 player on track. The Zune pass *sounds* like a great deal, esp. when you consider that it can't be that hard to hijack the DRM audio and record it as DRM-free AIFF on your hard drive.

I came to sneer at MS and Zune, but I really can't. A $100 million drop in revenue, even after retail discounts to boost sale--ouch. Maybe MS should go back to partnering with other companies and giving them all sorts of assurances that it won't stab them in the back, steal IP, or choke off their profits.

Microsoft is in big trouble. This company needs to find its way and work on its reputation ASAP.
Please, let me have more and more Microsoft products. Because they work so well and enrich the lives of so many people. I dream of having a Microsoft A/V receiver, TV, DVD player and cell phone.

When I become old and sick, I want Microsoft to provide the software for my life-support system. Because it will never fail and never have bugs and always work with other machines.

This Zune problem is a minor glitch in a glorious, triumphant career of a perfect device. Everything will be just fine.

Thank God we have Microsoft...

(When do I get my shill money?)
Dear Bill Gates:

The truth hurts. Especially when you have hemorrhoids. Wipe gently.

Love,

A Recovering Vista User
But thank God we have IE and Vista and Zune. These paradigms of excellence will surely lead us into the 21st Century and a Golden Age of....Ohwhatabunchahorsesh*t.
It's what a Zune dreams of being...
pkilla,

Talk to the Apple store about returning your machine. I imagine that you'll be able to return it and possibly get a free upgrade to the new model.

It really, really pays to read the rumor sites before buying a new computer, esp. a Mac. The companies are under NO obligation to pre-announce new models for the enlightenment of prospective buyers. In fact, those who have pre-announced in the past lower the number of sales before the release because everyone's waiting for the new models.

And the Mac rumor sites have gotten pretty good about finding out when new computers are coming out, so you can rely on them. Ultimately though, the same rule of thumb applies to all PC manufacturers as well as almost all retail sellers: "caveat emptor" ("let the buyer beware").
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
