Deep and wide. And black.
"luminescent fusion-powered floating sentient mini-clouds"

How is this not highest ranked? Come on people wake up, it's way past coffee time.
Totally. Alright, time to put the headphones back on, listen to some alternative music, and get back to work...
"I read this"

In Cosmo?

I keed (former 1st gen male Miata driver... turbo'ed to 300 hp ;) )
You mean, as in one with loads of utility?

Isn't that what a pickup truck is for?
Yes absolutely nuts.

Like having an exceptionally popular gadget blog write an article about it.

And having users like "Taylor. Yes, Taylor." responding to said article, mocking the absurdity of it.
Totally disagree.

The article states " "As Hyundai and Kia have been on the American scene for decades now"

You state

"Given the relative success of those two brands here lately,"

That's the reason.

I can say that at least amongst my circle of friends, mid twenty to mid thirty professionals typically bobbing about the 6 figure salary area, Hyundai and Kia are far from well regarded.

It's almost like saying "Yugo" in a crowded room some 20 years ago... and I _am_ a fan of what they've been cooking lately, I feel almost silly trying to convince people they've turned around over the past few years. Turning around an image takes time. It's a cultural thing.

Considering that China has become the manufacturing superpower, and India the intellectual outsourcing superpower, two to of the world's fastest growing economies, this article holds no surprises to me.
Sorry to hear your experience.

I've had an 8gb well over a year now and it's seen heavy use (I'm a software developer who uses it to cart databases/software between the lab and my development machines - been plugged in at least 1000 times or so).
"So, I guess it's ok for Apple to do what it's been doing with iTunes!? "

Um, yeah. They wrote the software, they can do with it what they want.

"I have the option of syncing it in ANY WAY I WANT"

Except with iTunes... in a week or two at least.
I see your point... but this thing is a total godsend for a particular application I have.

Basically for my balcony, which has a day bed + a bistro table. I spend most of my time out there in the evening, and its awash in sunlight during the day.

So on my bistro table I can listen to tunes from my iphone while eating/having a glass of wine. Or on the daybed kick back with my girlfriend while watching a movie on the MBP (not looking for amazing fidelity, just something that's at least twice as loud as that).

Rarely will it be on for more than 2-3 hours at a time. Nor will I ever have to change its batteries, bring it inside to charge, etc. And it fits right in with my modern loft.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
