i LOVE tablets. I think they are great... but... unless it is a convertible tablet I think it isn't going to have mass appeal... I mean microsoft tried the same stupid thing for YEARS.... more than 15 years! Nothing! I'm not saying that it can't be done successfully... it could be done and as an industrial designer I'd love nothing more than this fabled device.... but it isn't going to replace many people's dedicated daily device if it's JUST a tablet. I've got an hp tx2510... I love it. Apple needs a convertible. Then I'll bite. Just me .02.

I always said i'd get an apple when they made a tablet but i just realized something. I don't want a true tablet. They aren't what i need. What i want is for apple to make a convertible tablet, not a true slate tablet. I have an hp tx2000 and I love the options and versatility it gives me! Apple needs to make a convertible mac! Otherwise, as awesome as this tablet would be, I'd worry about it's usefulness outside of my art and design interests. Could be wrong though, hope I am.
