How to: Make a travel case for your second gen iPod shuffle {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Nov 6th 2006 12:29PM As they are sold, Apple's in-ear phones are pretty crappy in that it is IMPOSSIBLE to keep them sealed in your ear, which is essential for them to sound halfway decent. However, with the following modification they stay in your ear, and sound great:

I've had these 'Frankenphones' for almost two years now, and I love 'em, especially for the price.

Nov 2nd 2006 2:59PM I don't think you're giving Cohen enough credit. He's more like Andy Kaufman in the way he deals with the media. He clearly gets off on fucking with everyone in every way imaginable; the fact that he's getting away with it is testament to how good he is. Like Kaufman, his sheer charisma is getting him places where he should normally never be able to reach.
Full synchronization of iCal and Google Calendar coming via Spanning Sync {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Nov 1st 2006 6:22PM This looks great! I don't want to rain on this program's parade, but isn't Leopard + .Mac going to offer this same functionality for iCal?

Apple should offer option of .Mac as separate services {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Oct 23rd 2006 8:59AM Having just had a laptop HD crap out on me, I can't even begin to tell you how much .Mac's syncing helped. While I was able to back up all my data, the fact that with the click of a few buttons in the .Mac preference pance my Address Book, Mail.app, Safari, Keychain, and iCal looked and worked EXACTLY how they should is amazing, and worth the price as far as I'm concerned.
Also, I'm greatly looking forward to the next version of iCal which (as far as I can tell from feature discussions) will be a two way street, such that I can not only view but edit my Calendars via .Mac's webDAV interface. Has anyone had any experience with this in the Leopard builds out so far?

Sep 29th 2006 9:25AM According to Engadget the XBox 360's HD-DVD drive will be bundled with King Kong, so it seems like all the pieces are falling together. Good for him, can't wait to see what he brings to the gaming table.
Apple iTunes Store is down. For now. {Engadget}

Jun 9th 2006 11:46AM I'm not sure about hacked setups, but you should be able to just drag the menu bar in the System Preferences Display page to whichever screen you'd like. At least that's how it works on my 12" 1.33 GHz Powerbook.
