He probably had it wrapped in a blanket.
I won't bore you with a list of stuff I would change. The fact is that Windows XP is about as much refinement you need in an operating system based on the type of hardware we're all accustomed to. Until new and different hardware architectures (i.e. multi touch) etc. are more mainstream Microsoft should just not bother with Vista.

Vista is to XP what Windows Me was to 98.

fan-freakin-tastic.
Same old song. Know why? Because the argument is the kind of logic that is positively undeniable. Linux is open source, all it's code is free for all to see. Microsoft can NEVER accuse anyone of a damn thing because they'd never show their code to anyone. The risk of Microsoft showing their source code will never out-weigh the reward.

I hope Linus Torvalds gets 9 kinds of nasty on Bill & Co.

If Microsoft never make another dollar after today they could still pay it's employee's for another 150 years.
Err... how about some of the fastest blade servers/bladecenters on the market (HS20's/HS25's) 2 years before Dell, Gateway or HP could even try to compete. Fiber Backplanes etc..
Compal is good stuff. They have been building Dell's Laptops since the days of the Latitude LM.
Thanks, I just bought one.
But I want it noowwwww... :-(
All I want for Christmas is a SATA SSD 128GB drive. If someone could please sell them.
Still can't boot to it.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
