"Dude, you're gettin social security!"
If these things are equipped with a volume control and the ability to mow the lawn then we're onto something monumental.

I, for one, welcome our muted yardwork performing robotic sex kitten overlords.
I'm holding out for the Heathkit version of this.
Wow, that is one seriously speed racer looking helmet.
weird how the white layout says "color displays keyboard". Engrish anyone?
A few weeks? My kid will trash that spongebob camera in a day.
I gotta say, that is the dumbest looking vehicle I've seen in a long time.
If these only had that "Fram air filter" look, they'd have gotten the Geordi thing down to a bonafide marketing feature. I'm too lazy to look it up but I liked that last pair posted here (even though they had those flip out projectors) a lot more. I think transparency is key in this technology so that you can actually see your surroundings when you wear them.

I'm waiting for the HD retina implants because looking good is more important than feeling good and seeing is more than believing (and not walking into the next speeding bus).
I can already see it: the clean spot on my rug from the front door to the fridge to the bathroom. How do you pack any real suction into these things? I don't speak for everyone but walking every square inch of the rug in a good coverage pattern ain't my preferred way to spend a saturday morning.
for $700 - $1000 I think I can do better for my money than trying to polish a turd. Stock factory car stereo speakers, by nature, generally suck. If this thing was ~$100 I'd maybe consider trying it out but for that kind of cash I'd be inclined to go with a decent pair of aftermarkets and a power amp. I don't think anyone here is making fun of the guy or putting him down either. It's just humor, relax.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
