the axim x30 was my fave pda i ever owned to this day ... it performed so fast ... great wireless .. loved the 6 buttons across the front you could program.
This announcement is mute without a product ... i know as a consumer i'm sick of hearing about new break thrus in technology that never become reality .... announce something when you have something physical to show me.

When i have a new product in hand then i'll care ... this is as bad as the Apple hype machine.
Palm's new o/s is going to be more like some of the other o/s's that have been popping up ... similar to like the Samsung Eternity's o/s.

It's got to be totally different from the old garnet o/s or it will fail. If it's anything short of like having a little computer in your pocket it will fail.

I am excited to see it but knowing Palm it will probably suck. They have been so far behind the curve in the smartphone market and keep rehashing the same old design to stay afloat.

Their new-ness better not be re-hashedness again.
the fuze is a nice little phone ... best rendition of windows mobile i've seen so far in the states
The Win7 prebeta runs FAST on my old Dell c521 with it's single core Athlon CPU and it's mere 1gb of ram and a lame 2400 ATI graphic card. WOW plays good on it.

You can tell it's been tweaked under the hood a lot to boost speed.
it's useless unless it has a normal o/s ... linux? really? ... no thanx
All these netbooks would be more useful if they could run a real modern o/s like the HP 2133's do.

AMD is about to release a mobile Athlon which is a full version CPU with lower power consumption than the Intel Atoms. That will get some more Vista netbooks going.
Ummm .. x3100 IS a high def chipset ... that's what Intel designed it for ... it runs BluRay well if you have a mid range Core Duo or higher and 3gb RAM.

I love the way the article kept bashing the Dell Hybrid which is superior in EVERY way then at the end of the article said that the Dell Hybrid was $999 without a monitor ...

check your facts PCauthority ... and by the way ... you aren't an authority if you print inaccurate fact.
i went to school ... i can read ... doesn't matter if the 2 buttons are switched.

I love all my dells ... i bought their cheapest laptop from their outlet center ... $400 ... it's brushed metal body, ton of ports, and great keyboard make it so much better quality than any sub $600 HP.

Live Mesh connects all my PCs and cell phone's files ...

life is good ... whether my Fn key is on the left or right of the cntrl.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
