Jun 11th 2008 8:57AM Please, Please, Please someone cancel this show and give it back to USA Network. I totally disagree with Brenna on this one, they need to start from scratch back on USA. This cannot be the same production company that put on the previous seasons. The stage was awful, none of the intimacy and atmosphere of the previous venue. The show audio quality was horrible and the band sounded terrible (if this is the same band as previous seasons then the show audio was even worse than I thought). I never thought of Nashville Star as a Idol wannabe as the talent level was always pretty high but this season the talent level seems to be way off. Even though the success of previous seasons contestants has not been off the charts you would think the exposure (especially with this season being on NBC) would bring out more talent than this. Miranda Lambert from season one has been the biggest star so far and season one winner Buddy Jewell had great success with his first album. I will continue to watch this season as I really like these kind of shows (please bring back Rockstar!) but it will always be with DVR so I can fast forward when needed. Hopefully this season will get better and change my mind but as of now I am very disappointed with the show so far.
Champ Car Atlantic champ turns down $2 million {Autoblog}
Apr 9th 2008 11:29PM Wait a second, this guy wins a 2 million grant to step up to the Champ series.
He decides to forgo that because he does not want to race in Champ (with their uncertain future at the time who could blame him).
He jumps to the IRL feeder series instead with the intent to move up to the IRL series eventually.
Then Champ and IRL merge and now the Champ car ride he may have gotten is now an IRL ride which is where he is trying to get to now.
So, he really did throw 2 million away for nothing.
Ouch!

I don't know the six for sure but those who say Aaron is not one of them why not consider this: When the "survivors" are rescued they were a huge story worldwide (especially with the whole staged plane crash), if there were six adults and Aaron the press would have named them the Oceanic 7. They would not have ignored a child among the "survivors" in their nickname for them.

Mar 6th 2008 12:22PM I thought Amanda was terrible, after what Simon said I had to hit re-wind and re-watch and it was still bad. She sounded bad last week also in both the performance & results show, she looks so uncomfortable on stage to me (and uncomfortable to watch). This should be a great season no matter who goes through to the final 12.

I yelled at Randy, "Simple Minds are not Australian!, they are Scottish!" but he seemed to roll with that being an INXS song.
I love INXS but Simple Minds were also a great band, "Don't You (Forget About Me)", "Alive and Kicking", "Sanctify Yourself", "All the Things She Said", "Promised You a Miracle" were all great songs from Jim Kerr and the band, there is great stuff on their web page for any fans.

That is exactly what I was going to post kickit, Hawkins is staying away from the family at the cabin. We have only seen his wife there and at work (when the kids are at school). This is one of my pet peeves, when people complain about characters not being seen for a while. I actually hate it (especially in ensemble casts) when they try and show EVERY character in EVERY episode.
