Someone should tell Mr. Balmer that twice nothing still equals nothing.
Film Student, the only way you know how to argue is to say two wrongs make a right. First you say its right that artists dont get paid because bloggers don't. Actually, they do. Then you say its ok that artists don't get paid because essayists don't. Both an essay contest and an ad contest are wrong. You cant defend one with the other. Plus, this is not about creating easy filler material, this is about creating an ad to specifically increase revenue and readership for a major corporation. If this was a blog like Daddytypes.com thats user owned i wouldnt bitch. But AOL? If you want to be taken advantage of by a billion dollar corp thats your mistake to make.
I love these people who only value their own work, and not that of others. I'm not in advertising, but I am freelance animator. If this was anything but a "creative" job people would laugh at the very idea of 20 or even 100 people doing a lot of hard work and only 1 of them getting paid (not even well) for it. Artists should get picked based on their portfolio and price and then get paid fairly - t-shirts or tv ads.

BTW, to "Film Student", engadget bloggers DO get paid. They also get free stuff to review, plane ticket and lodging for events, etc. They brag about it all the time. Do you think they'd do this for AOL for free? Then why should we?
Wow, a chance to do $10,000 worth of work (maybe worth more since you belong to AOL) and odds are you'll get nothing? Even if you win, a $3000 computer is still not worth as much as what an ad agency would charge AOL for a commercial. This is a rip, plain and simple. People, don't waste your time.
19 - I did all that. When I go to choose isight.inf in the update driver dialog it says that it doesn't contian any info about my device. I think this is internal isight only :(
Ok, I got everything extraxted. I tried to update my isight drivers, but no luck. Windows said these drivers weren't for my hardware. I dont know if I'm doing anything wrong. If I am, I'm sure someone will figure it out in a day or two. Funny, because the install pdf says support for isight camera*s*
ok, heres a question, I've been bumbling through the install pkg file and cant fine drivers exe. Where is it exactly? Maybe it doesnt exist in 1.1?
How do you extract drivers from this thing without installing it. I have a mac, but i don't want to intall on it. I just want to test the drivers for the isight on my pc.
Speaking of bottle blonde tramps, when is square going to make an rpg that doesnt have aryan fashion models as the stars? I rare care for people who look like that on screen, and I doubt I would want to role play as one of them in a game.
May I be the first to say HDR images are horrible? I've yet to see one I like. Sure its nice to have a sky expose the same as the forground, but everything is washed out (no matter the exposure tweaking), and - worst of all - everything has a glow around it like its radioactive. I hope the future will bring us a better way to do this.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
