I received a notice as well for the same delivery date. While I currently use a laptop as my HTPC, it will be a nice option to use the PS3 as well.
I don't mind the download media. It would have been great instead of wandering the streets in Akiba, looking for English titles and then costing almost double. Finding used UMD's was even tougher.

I personally like the form factor of the regular PSP and I've got a feeling that having to purchase an accessory, just so I can use my accessories isn't going over well. I'm not having it.

This design is just so wrong and the price point isn't doing it any favors. I'd buy a PSP-3000 over this.

Sony needs to go back to the original 3000 and add the following.
- Dual cameras (Rear and front facing for video chat)
- Bluetooth and support a bunch of profiles
- The Unicorn of the PSP world...a second analog joystick
I think it's good that it will work with Macs and the upcoming iThingy, but I'm unsure since Amazon can delete my purchase at will/error/act of god and hot lunch Tuesdays.
Danny pretty much sums up why I'm not moving to the PSPgo. Here's what I would be willing to move to:

-Go back to the old form factor. It's a comfortable size
-Just keep the PSP 3000 screen
-WiFi 802.11 b/g and n if they can slip it in, but keep the price workable.
-Bluetooth, along with a plethora of various profile support
-Second joystick
-Built-in microphone
-Front & rear facing cameras. (Yes, for video chat)
-Plenty of onboard memory
-Slot that works with ProDuo sticks (Just use an adapter for smaller sticks)
-Work with the current accessories, without having to buy that F'n insane case adapter thing they made for the PSP Go. WTF were they thinking! F'n stupid.
-Stick with the mini-usb port
-User replaceable battery. I love that fat boy in my PSP when I travel.

Still, the price tag on the PSP Go is nuts. $200 is a realistic street price for the perfect PSP. If they made the above, I'd buy it and not even sweat my current 20+ UMD games.
From the comments thus far, it appears that no one has ever gone through the trademark process, or comprehended the post. Looks like it's knee-jerk reaction Monday. (Not that I haven't done this myself)

Will Woolworths Limited prevail against Apple's claim, more than likely, but it's quite automatic, well it should be, for a company to protect it's brand. Failure to protect one's brand/service mark can cause fan/hateboys to react in an entirely different way once others have began using another's trademark to describe their products, or services.

"Netbook" anyone?
The PSP has always been inexpensive in the U.S. compared to Japan. I know first hand as I picked one up. This slight reduction, is just bringing it more in line with everywhere else.

Unfortunately, pricing for games using English, in Japan, are astronomical. Fortunately, you can pick up some used games (UMD) in shops. With the ability to download games, a person isn't confronted with finding a shop, especially if in a foreign country, and then being relegated to choose from the titles on-hand.

I also enjoy the ability of using my PSP to remotely connect to my PS3 and stream media from various DLNA friendly devices that are at home.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
