I think you guys need to check your download link, as it leads to the 1.02 patch page, rather than the 1.02a patch.

Pachter may have a point, but another issue that probably plays a big role as well is this: PC game selection in retail stores (especially Gamestop) SUCKS.

Gamestop is arguably the 800lbs gorilla for retail game sales, but I can't tell you how many times I've gone into one and seen one of two scenarios:

1) They have PC games, but its half a shelf stand (and the Gamecube section is bigger)

2) They tell me to go elsewhere because they don't have any PC games AT ALL

Hugely frustrating... :(
Awesome, I've felt left for dead (I know, it's bad) because my friends have moved onto the second one
Man, I wish this had been posted about 4 days ago. I read that they're doing a dealer tour and got excited, only to find out that they were in Washington 2 days ago! Damn!
Now see I think you've missed the point entirely.

When I read this post, I agreed with it wholeheartedly. I've got iTunes running on my uber Vista machine at home and my work XP computer, and it sucks on both. I saw this as a valid complaint: that iTunes (and by extension, Quicktime) are pretty terrible ports to ANY form of Windows.

Is the author using a pre-release OS? Yes. And while it's understandable that size/performance issues would be present for Windows 7, its completely ridiculous that the 'official' retail versions of Windows have similar problems.

This post was a complaint against Apple's shoddy port of a decent product, not that Windows 7 has compatibility issues
Hooray for Netflix streaming!!!

It should answer your question pretty clearly. Plus, if you go to the link on the left for "The Path to 2409", there are quite a few posts about events that have theoretically occurred during the years leading up to the game's timeframe that are pretty fascinating to read.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
