This game is just plain terrible. They managed to strip everything from the fighting system that made Soul Calibur great, and turned SC4 into a slow, stiff, and completely boring fighter. I really really wanted to like it but after playing for a week I just can't stand it anymore.

Unfortunately the sales numbers and reviews show that all a fighting game needs to succeed is to be pretty and have a lot of throwaway content. So much for FGs that actually play well.
Shitfall?
Rock Band is extremely forgiving as far as timing goes. Go play Guitar Freaks and see what "press the button at the EXACT right moment or it doesn't count" REALLY means.
Yeah, that would be my guess too. They would have to strip tons of content from the DC version to make the size acceptable for XBLA. Meanwhile, the arcade version is the right size as-is.

It's a shame, too, because not only did the DC version have much prettier graphics, but it also had better tuning. It also had Cervantes, unlike the coin-op.

We'll see, I guess. Maybe they'll do it right. Maybe...
I like how the Majesco employee misspelled the name of his own game on the subject line.
It may not be funny, but the great art keeps it from being a total loss.

Except this time it's a real person who's leaving.
You know what the funniest thing about Europe is? It's the little differences. I mean they got the same shit over there that they got here, but it's just, just there it's a little different.
I'm a huge fan of UT99 and UT2004, love twitch/DM FPS, and I personally found UT3 to be a great disappointment. I play FPS on PC, and to me, it really feels like they changed the gameplay to appeal to console gamers. In particular, the way they changed the movement really ruined the game. With the lower jumps and the removal of dodge-jumping, you really feel chained to the ground. This makes it easier to move around on a gamepad, but it sure makes the game boring.

Maybe it's good for console players, but it sure sucks on PC.
No. You were not.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
