I feel for the workers. They worked for the required number of years to get the pension they were promised. Now they will get a reduced benefit. My first instinct is to blame the company, but, if the can't make the payments, they can't make 'em. If visteon goes under, they'll make even less payment than the proposed reduced amount. Looks like the the union that bargained for the pension in its quest to get every possible penny for its members once again forgot to remember that a fiscally healthy and profitable company is good for the worker.

Problem is, the taxpayer is the one left holding the bag here. You and I will be the ones paying for the screw up.

Looks like a toddler tantrum to me. If my kid's acted like that, they'd get their little butts whipped.
To state the obvious: You don't have a 430,000+ member in your pocket plus an untold number politicians.
What's up with the sparks coming from the tires? Belts showing?
What's up with the Kia Forte grille?
So you're telling me that the Japanese taxpayers don't want to use their money to pay American companies?

I don't see the problem.

If our C4C program was about jobs, we would have made only cars built in the U.S. eligible (regardless of manufacturer). But the program was about buying votes and the government being able to say look at what we did for the economy.
Subaru should at least put the 265 hp motor from the 2009 WRX in the Forester XT instead of the 224hp motor from the 2008 WRX.
Does it do burnouts better?

Just saying. I voted for the GT-R, but the GT500 is truly awesome.
I had a CR80 in middle school. Honda FTW!!!! just kidding.
Race engines don't need 200k mile durability so they can have a lot higher specific output. And that engine probably costs more than a whole normal Fiesta,
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
