Video: Android SDK v0.9 hits the internet looking almost ready for primetime {Engadget}

Aug 18th 2008 6:54PM Google is your friend so is Engadget Mobile

Each carrier can have their own store and I am sure Google will have a store too. Or you can hunt and peck.

Aug 18th 2008 6:49PM Please remember, this is not a one device system like the iPhone. Many carriers, many models, many everything. Expand your mind beyond one device one OS. There will be plenty of after-market software and customizations for the OS. There will be cheap-o phnes which have just what you need and nothing more, and there will be high end phones.

Weekend Photo Fun: Adventures in re-branding {Autoblog}

Aug 2nd 2008 6:23PM Worst I ever saw was a 1996 Toyota Trecel with large print that said "HONDA POWER" in letters so large it went from front to back. They also replaced all the badges. I do not get it.

No plans to release Mazda6 hybrid {Autoblog}

Aug 1st 2008 4:25PM "1) The Mazda6 Hatch has the lowest take rate of the three current variants.
2)Why?
3) That didn't work for the Accord Hybrid, and it wouldn't work now. Fuel efficiency is the core of the hybrid market.
4)This, and only this, I agree with."

1) The hatch was never marketed properly. It had a low take rate but also low numbers on lots.
2) Mid size coupes with power is a market Mazda has not touched since the mx-6. The major competitors have these cars, why not Mazda?
3) It didnt work for Honda because most honda drivers don't want any performance. They want reliable A-B cars. Let Mazda tune something. Again, make 5000. Heck make 2000 and see how they sell.
4) I think mazdaspeed should just be a line, kinda like M or AMG.

No plans to release Mazda6 hybrid {Autoblog}

Aug 1st 2008 2:54PM The Mazda6 needs:
1) Hatchback in the USA
2) Coupe model
3) Hybrid that improves performance not fuel effeciency
4) MazdaSpeed with EcoBoost and a good AWD

the last 2 can be done in 5000 unit runs like the old models.

Comebacks we'd like to see: #20 -- Vent windows {WalletPop}

May 17th 2008 7:07PM Here is a mixed one about vent windows. I was at a house party with some friends and one of them locked his keys in his old truck. I popped the window open and used my long arms to reach in and unlock the door. We were all happy.
A year later, someone used my trick again on his truck to steal it and drive in half way across the country.

So yes to vent windows as long as they are secure.

MacBU promises Office 2008 fix {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jan 26th 2008 9:13AM I would love if they had a road map forward.

Are they going to rewrite the VBA compiler or write a .NET compiler for Universal Binaries?
I have had crashes in Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Is there a easy way to communicate the issues?

When it works it is great, but when it fails it horrible.
