I visited yesterday the waseda robotics lab and this robot and it is really a cool robot. It is not simple to control a robot with a person on it with unpredictable movements and keeping the ZMP inside the support polygon.
Their website is http://www.cn.stir.ac.uk/~tgeng/research.html with some interesting papers.
A movie of this nice swimming robot (http://lucy.vub.ac.be/aichi/snake_robot.MOV) from the website http://lucy.vub.ac.be/diary_aichi1.htm

I really hope they change minds, the technology they develop for aibo and qrio can also be applied in other electronics.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
