Moved onto ipod/iphone... Are you kidding? If this is the state of things in gaming, then I'm giving it up. Fortunately, I think this belief is bunk, and that anyone who plays anythign on iphone/ipod for a while will realize the control scheme is clearly inferior to a d-pad and tactile buttons. Casual games like sudoku are great, as well as mine sweeper play just fine. When you try FPS, its a joke, the play control is simply bad. Also, even simple games like Tetris suffer from the delay in screen conductance when the player is skilled. I can play the game for hours and hours with a d-pad, but the delay on the screen is VERY noticeable after 20 minutes of play on iphone.
If the bluetooth actually worked on the iphone, this might be an idea. Has anyone actually tried to use the native google map program while listening to music over A2DP? It works fine using analog headphones, but with A2DP, its like i broke the ipod's brain.....
I am confused. I already have unlimited calling on my at&t family plan. Why would i pay $20 more for this? From the website, it seems like you are not required to get this additional service, but there is no indication that the femtocell can be locked down to individual phones to make sure that others dont use it. Anyway, my iphone doesnt work at all in my apartment in NYC, why should i have to pay for this at all?
Why not just use hamachi?
Nice. I'd like to win this.
Softbank in Japan already has MMS. I just got service for my unlocked iphone yesterday while I am traveling to Japan. An interesting note -- while the softbank data limit is pretty low, there was no long term contract to sign. I can go month to month with their smallest plan. This plan includes free calling to other softbank customers most of the day and a fee for calls made between 9pm and 2am (or close to that). In addition to no contract, this plan was only $9 per month for voice, and around $20 per month for the required data. While this plan is not even close to all you can eat, its really useful and I think it shows how much AT&T is screwing people over.
This hard drive is still too small. Why oh why can't we just buy a nice 500 gig Seagate and put it in the case? MS still makes money from the case, and doesn't have to warranty the drive. Seems to make sense to me.
I bet it cant butter toast due to the lack of integration of the equivalent of 1B afferents. Positional sensors are much easier to control when you dont have to have force-feedback integrated into the controllers.
Which games? I have not had a single game not work on 64 bit or 32 bit Windows 7. In fact Half Life 2 runs in 64bit mode and can address all 8 gigs of ram in my system. It ran substantially smoother. Newer games are even better. I think you might be in the minority here.
Forget XP. Games play just as good if not better on 7. The system is faster and more stable in every way you can imagine, and its infinitely more secure. Seriously, when is the last time you really used Windows? It works really well now. Microsoft seems to be trying hard.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
