Why do all these companies think I want to browse on my ereader? If I quickly want to look up a site, I use my phone. If I want to look something up normally, I use a desktop, laptop or in the worst care, a netbook.

The double screen seems like a bad fix for the unavailable color e-ink display. I need to switch between screens to see it in color? O, need to switch back to save battery life. Simply accept ereaders aren't ready for the web. The refresh rate isn't there and the color isn't there. You can't fix it by putting Android underneath it. However cool it might be.

Two main reasons to buy an ereader:

1. The paper-like screen
2. The 2 week battery life

This has:

1. Only half
2. A lot less than half (if the battery survived a full day of traveling I'd be surprised)
In a dutch show they tested a couple of e-readers two weeks ago. At the end of the item they said BeBook was sad to come in at the 5th place, because they would indeed be launching a new reader October 14th. They said other newly released readers where compared to their old reader.

The top 5, made up by grannies, students and an 'expert', was:

1. Sony PRS-600
2. PRS-300
3. CyBook
4. Cool-ER
5. BeBook

I'm interested in the PRS-600, but the PRS-900 and the Barnes & Noble reader could be interesting as well.
The 14 hour battery life is pretty sweet though. Doubles as an e-reader..
You guys are being way too harsh on Windows Mobile. The X1 is an awesome phone and with the SPB panel you practically never have to see the Windows menus if you don't want to. I think the guys at Engadget Mobile didn't try it, they could have downloaded it at several places on the web, like xda-developers.
SE has been promising units over here in the Netherlands since half October. Not one single unit has shipped. First week 43, week 44, 45, now week 47, maybe... ugh.
What's that song?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
