just a shame DAB is a joke in the UK....
its not much of a surprise as the PSP had AAC playback enabled a while back.

a fantastic plus though, apart from OGG, this is gonna give you the best sound :)

and thanks apple for the free music ripping software, itunes works just great to create VBR aac that can be used without having to pay a penny...
yep, i would also prefer it if sony focused on getting more good games onto the system instead of fancy gadgets...
JK,

lordy, if you dont like OGG, dont use it, but dont suggest its not a good thing to support as many formats as possible...

personally, I use OGG on my PC and media player, so it would be very handy not to have several versions of the same files.

and yep, the addition of AAC was a nice feature, its the format I use for all my PSP music now :)

Kamalot, the PSP is a far better video device than the ipod. the massive 16:9 screen makes it the much better choice for movies and modern TV shows. As for the DS, well its still a little too early to say which has the best games, I think both are a little lacking to be honest.
8gb would be very cool, heck even 1gb would be a start for built in space. I know i have a 1gb card for video and a 512mb for music, its a bit of pain to have to switch them over.

we know its a wonderful media player, shame the great games are a little few and far between :)

oh, and OGG support and 25fps video playback please sony ;)

yeah this is a pain in the butt. I have a sony camera and a PSP, the camers takes a regular memory stick and the PSP a memory stick duo. the PSP's stick can be used in the camera with an adapter, but of course not the other way around!

how nice it would be if all my sony memory sticks worked in all my sony products, its not a lot to ask is it. Hardly as if the duo was a huge beast anyway...
i already use the PSP to access email and type on a baic message board. The input isnt great, but you can get pretty good at entering short messsages.

anyway, anymore added funcctions can only be a good thing :)

I just wish they gave us 25fps playback for us PAL folk :(

I would love a standard mp4 version to play on the PSP :)

space on the memory stick is limited and i would think a nice aac in mp4 could work out the same quality at a smaller filesize than the mp3?

well this sounds promising. Its so far been a choice between latest features or homebrew, would be great to have both.

I have GTA so ill give this a go later, so far its something i havent looked into for the PSP as the extra framerates of 2.60 were more important :)

"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
