Sprint announces massive layoffs, store closings amid subscriber defection {Engadget}

Jan 18th 2008 1:38PM I have Sprint, and continue to do so only because I have the clout a Fortune 500 company...numerous billing errors that were only corrected once I reached out to the personal executive Sprint representative assigned to my company. Their CS is awful, I've had CS reps accuse me of trying to cheat the system by complaining about incorrect charges (I was charged twice for the cost of my handset, resulting in a $1000 charge). Signal is not bad at all in major metropolitan areas, but the handset selection is slim pickings.

Final Macworld predictions? {Engadget}

Jan 14th 2008 6:54PM Steve Jobs will announce that in fact, he is the Second Coming, and white light will begin to radiate from him, first from the tips of his fingers, then a complete blinding aura around his entire body. He will start to levitate on stage, and speak in tongues. He will then clear his throat and begin announcing the new Macbook lineup, including a subcompact unit and a tablet unit. After running through new iTunes partnerships and Leopard updates, he will close out by stating that we are in fact in the Days of Judgement. However, being Steve Jobs, he will refuse to unveil the exact release date, leaving only a black curtain that say "Coming Soon - End of Days."
