If you are a power user looking to buy a new dual-core notebook, save your money and wait. AMD is working on a 64-bit dual-core chipset that will be both more powerful than Intel's and MUCH more affordable. With Windows Vista on the horizon, it seems that the days of the 32-bit processor are number. To me, Intel releasing a 32-bit dual-core is a futile attempt to catch some of the notebook market, as it's 64-bit dual-core processor will be 4-6 months behind AMD's. For those looking for a notebook gor gaming and/or engineering graphics, I would recommend that you wait for AMD to take the next step ahead of Intel.

"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
