Canon EOS 7D gets high marks all around

I'll chime in and say I love my 7D. It's a great still camera and shoots some very unique, impressive video. I've already made a lot of use out of it shooting 1080P/24, and 720P/60.

My recommendation to anyone looking to get a 7D is to get a fast card reader. my first few imports were painful on my cheap USB reader, I've since upgraded to the Sandisk Firewire CF card reader and can ingest 8GB in 3 minutes. I also bought a pair of PNY 266x CF cards from Frys (Cheapest place I found them), http://www.frys.com/product/5902414?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG
Based on Rob Galbraith's testing, these are the fastest cards that don't break the bank. (http://www.robgalbraith.com/bins/camera_multi_page.asp?cid=6007-9784)

My Iphone 3Gs is on hold also.

Interestingly, the origin scan is here in Dallas, TX and so is the delivery.

In this case, the receiver is my local AT&T Store - I guess I'll just wait 'til Friday morning to pick mine up, like I was planning to anyway.

Part 15 doesn't apply here. The police are licensed as a primary operator. The sprinker system is, most likely, using unlicenced "empty" spectrum. Well, it's no longer empty. Seems they should find a better way to control their sprinklers. It's laughable that they think complaining to the FCC will do some good.

I think I'm going to throw up. Seriously. These guys lose. Design? Ease of use? FAIL.

Also, so much for any kind of application that requires using the mouse and keyboard at once.

"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
