February 5rd?
I have a 40" Samsung LNT4061F, and I've been having a problem with PC input. Using a VGA cable, it displays 1024x768, 1280x1024, and even 1600x1200 without a hiccup, but when I try any of the TV's native 16:9 formats, the TV goes blank and says "Mode not supported." The PC's video card is an ATI Radeon AIW 9600XT, and the 16:9 resolutions are listed in the video settings as supported modes, and the TV is supposed to support them as well. I've tried it on two different laptops (also over VGA), with the same results. Has anyone else had this problem, and know what I can do to resolve the issue?

I'm looking to buy a Toshiba Tablet and they only have VGA output, I don't want to lose out on all that screen real estate! Aside from this issue, the TV is gorgeous and fulfills all my other needs.
I am currently looking for an HDTV to replace my CRT TV and computer monitors, but the cost is killing it for me. So count me in!
The PS3 will be approximately 18x24x13", and will weigh forty pounds. The actual cost at launch will about the same as the first CD-players in the 80's. It will actually be powered by four separate X-box 360's that will fit inside, with room to spare for a Wii that will give tilt-sensitivity to the controllers. When yours finally arrives in 2009, don't try to open it up to see this amazing conglomeration of competitors' working products: removing the cover will void the warranty just before detonating the thermite explosive which will incinerate all evidence of its existence, along with your house, you, and everyone you ever loved.
I was just thinking to myself the other day "wow, the Brawny man is getting awfully pussified. It's as if they've been slipping estrogen into his hip flask"

In the end, I have no brand preference so long as the paper towels are more absorbant than newsprint. I think the paper towel companies should stick to trying to out-absorb each other instead of spending 30 years building a brand icon, then destroy that image in a handful of air-time.
Four office workers barrelling down a hill at 60mph in what looks like a giant push mower, while the two in the front fight for control. Stay tuned for the full court report.
hands down, the snickers commercial with that annoying acoustic song. For over a month, I didn't even know what candy bar it was for; just that I hated the song so much that everytime I recognized the actors I would change the channel and NOT go back until my memory lapsed. If the ads are intended to drive the audience into the hands of competing tv stations and candy makers, it works perfectly!
looks more like radio taisou than dancing... Now what they need is a miniature robotic Papaya Suzuki.
10. steelpad 5L professional gaming mouse pad

I would very much the mouse pad, not only because I'm a gamer, but because I burn through mousepads like thermite. Almost every flat surface in the house has a mirror-finish now that I have wireless mice.

I also dig the pseudo-x-men-themed-neurons-firing design. Just looking at it increases my reation time.
yeah... call me when a manufacturer that doesn't suck starts making these.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
