BlackBerry Bold 9700 hands-on and impressions {Engadget}
Nov 5th 2009 10:19AM "Unless your life revolves around Blackberry Messenger, I don't see why anyone would use a Blackberry"
Do other BB users concur w/ this? I like smartphones, thinking about finding something new since I'm tired of this G1 already... but I doubt I'm going to be "pinging" too many people on a BB. I use smartphones more for apps and texting and internet (oh, and for talking to people too)... so if this is pretty much a true statement in regards to BB, I don't think BB is for me. But curious to see if others agree...
Natal in Fable 3 hinted by a paranoid Molyneux {Joystiq}
Oct 5th 2009 1:36PM You people act like you've never played Fable before.
What do you think Natal will be used for?
Chopping wood and digging for treasure. Whoopity doo.
"So let me get this straight...you were disappointed in Fable 1.
Then, after being disappointed in Fable you decided it'd be a good idea to buy Fable 2? And now, after being disappointed in not only Fable, but Fable 2 as well, you've come up with the idea that you should consider buying Fable 3?"
Now hold on here. I agree with the person you're chastizing (except for the 'considering Fable 3 portion')... but yeah, and I can explain to you exactly why: Molyneux IS a liar. I hate that someone down-voted the other comment because it's true. Peter M didn't deliver on half the crap he said he was going to do in Fable 1. I played that game, gave it a fair chance and it was such a boring chore that I only finished it to justify buying it.
Then, lo and behold, Fable 2 is announced and my initial reaction is "Hell NO". But then something odd happened: Fable 2 got critically GOOD reviews. Stupid X-play on G4 named it game of the year. The more I read and saw of Fable 2, the more it looked like Peter had fixed the boring crap from Fable 1 and added in some interesting bits. So I took a chance and got Fable 2. I was actually enjoying this game tremendously... until I realized that I wasn't seeing any variations in armor, clothes, weapons, hair, accessories, etc. Then the more and more I kept playing, the more and more I realized how incredibly IRRELEVANT all the side stuff is to the main story. You can chop all the wood all day long, or not chop the wood all day long... either way, your character is still the same. It was pointless except to earn some extra money. Most of the side-stuff is like that... and remember that Molyneux LIES and tells you that these things DO have a implications on your story. That's all that guy ever talks about is about choices and how it impacts how your game...
I say shenanigans. What Lionshead did in Fable is nothing special.
Shit, doesn't the crowd boo if you play Triple H coming down to the ring in Smackdown? Ohhh, so the people in Fable cower in fear if you're "bad". Whoa Peter!! Let's not get too crazy with the immersion! That's some groundbreaking shit, let's not take it too far, we might melt everyone's brains.
No, if you look at Fable as a mediocre hack n slash w/ a few neat RPG elements, then its a decent game. But when you got the devloper promising a bunch of crap that doesn't work, or not even in the game, combined with over-rated reviews... Fable is sorely disappointng.
So yeah, fool me once, shame on Lionshead. Fool me twice, shame on me. I'll admit to that. So now that Molyneux says "natal", my first thought is: What half-assed idea will they half-implement this time?
And, it's one thing if it was just me, but I know a handful of people who feel the same.
Bottom line, it's just overhyped, I have been unreasonably disappointed by the series thus far, and nothing can be said at this point to make me interested again. I only read this article because of the Natal aspect.
Dreamcast-mounted iPhone dock sends VMU into jealous rage {Engadget}
Oct 5th 2009 12:58PM I'm... ah.... well, I was going to say maybe engadget posted this one as a sort of a bit of irony/sarcasm... like it was their intent to shame this modder to no end for such a non-mod. But then I remember some of the other posts and realize no... someone at engadget has such a boner for the word 'mod', they'll post just about anything.
Whatever, what the Mod Community finds as 'worthy' mods VS What The Rest of the World Thinks hasn't always been on the same page anyway. You know, you take a car enthusiast for example.... "modifications" in their world involves improving either peformance or appearance. If a car enthusiast were to take a page out of a gadget modder's book, putting a light bulb on the roof would be considered a 'worthy' mod.
And as a left-handed person, let me throw this out there: No more lefty mods. Most of us are ambidextrous and do just fine. I find lefty mods to be insulting and unnecessary. If you hear a lefty person whine about how they need a lefty this or a left that, you can smack them (with your left pimp hand) on my behalf. Its the equivalent of a welfare recepient complaining about goverment cheese. Cry me a river you weaklings.
Now if anyone from enCrapget is reading, now's a good time for a "Top 10 Worst Mods of 2009" piece. Yeah, you're welcome for that one.

"What a shame that no one will develop for Zune HD. They'll all be busy making money at the Apple App Store"
That one sentence alone single handedly showed how dumb and how far up Steve Job's ass your dick and tongue are.
The thing is, your comments are so far out in the "I'm a complete lying sack of troll" field, other Apple fanboys dont even back you up.
MMA Is No Breakthrough for Women {Fanhouse Main}
Aug 19th 2009 3:14PM "I think it's human nature prompted by visions of my mother looking like Tex Cobb or babbling like Meldrick Taylor"
Oh, so is your mother a baseball player? Did she play in the NFL? Was she an amateur fighter?
No? Then why in gods name are you envisioning your mother looking like Tex Cobb?
How about you envision your mother trying to do something and being told she can't cause she's a woman. Now apply that your wife and daughters. Actaully, I feel sad for your daugther cause you're probably the a**hole in their lives who tells them what they can or can't do.
Pretty people should be on TV, smart people should write, yet they let Dave Whitley do these things anyway.
So maybe you should stop associating all women with your mommy, get yourself a therapist and get over it.
Oh, and in the spirit of all the garbage politics as of late, I'll also accuse Mr Whitely of being un-American. Telling people what they can or can't do based on gender, age or race? Let's rethink that.
Is Netflix putting caps on computer-based Watch Instantly users? {Engadget}
Mar 17th 2009 2:44PM "Update: Based on the volume of "It's working just fine for me" comments both here and elsewhere it seems safe to say that if there is a conspiracy at work here, it's not Netflix's"
Yeah, well... maybe next time you decided to pick up a story, TIM, you should read it first. A 5 year old could have seen the grandoise amount of illogic in the original blog. Smells like to me someone read a title, skimmed through the pretty pics and then linked it.
Thanks for the update... truthfully, you need to just delete this whole article all together. I thought engadget used to have pride in itself. This article killed it.
Sony France boss held hostage by disgruntled workers {Engadget}
Mar 13th 2009 8:45AM Man, I hate when they leave out the full story.
They totally failed to report the part about how the guy held everyone hostage with a baguette and how they finally calmed him down using sweet sounds of Euro-techno-club music.
One hostage replied that he was just glad that it didn't affect how big the logo was on his extra small Armani Exchange t-shirt.
Viva la.... oh, I really don't care. Fuck France.

Mar 13th 2009 8:41AM I'm no Sony fan, far from it... but I do own a new Vaio and an old PSP and all this Sony-hating is just vivid fanboyism.
Find me another laptop w/ built in Blu ray, HDMI output, 17inch and 4GB of ram for $1,000. Go, now. Build one on Dell. Build one on Alienware. You can't even get BD on a Mac. Are Vaio's good for gaming? Hell no, but I'm not trying to play Crysis. My only complaint about my Vaio is I wish it had a better/dedicated graphics processor and built in Dolby (not that faking-the-funk Dolby software). Yeah, I could have bought Alienware that does ALL of that and more... for twice the price of my Vaio.
Xbox vs Wii vs PS3 is just getting old at this point. No one cares except for you dumb fanboys. Do I own a PS3? No. Do I know anyone who does? No. Do I or anyone I know expressed interest in getting one? No. So I guess because my microscopic piece of the Earth doesn't care about PS3, that must make it a failure. Thats such bullshit. The Haters are just as bad as Fanboys... we need to lock you all in a room full of ball-peen hammers and dildoes so you can finish each other off and STFU.
New iPod shuffle first hands-on (with video!) {Engadget}
Mar 12th 2009 2:17PM milan, I think you finally found the right description: Disappointing. It doesn't matter if your'e an Apple fanboy or Hater... there's no one that can look at this device and not be disappointed by how lackluster it is. The world is clamoring for a new iPod Shuffle like a black dude is clamoring for a KKK membership.
Per engadget
"Still, people seem quite satisfied to put up with this sort of inconvenience and hassle when it comes to Apple"
... how does one even come up with this statement? What other incoveneiences and hassles did other Apple products introduce that people ignored simply because the product was Apple? Call me stupid, but I always thought what made iPods in the first place was their convenience and being hassle-free. Take away those traits, and you're on the same level as any other device.
You know who ignores "inconveniences and hassles"? Fanboys and fad followers.

Mar 12th 2009 1:24PM 1. yawn
2. yawn
3. yawn
4. voice what? hm... "Trying too hard" comes to mind...
5. yawn.
6. "As many times as the anti Apple whiners are going to keep posting comments on it"
Oh, riiiiggght... because this truly is a case of anti-Apple haters talking crap for no reason, not because this is probably the lamest thing to come from Apple since the AirBook (that's not an anti-Apple statement by the way... that's goes for ANY idiot that spent that much money on that crap over a full fledged MacBook).
Yawn. Love Apple all you want, I give them kudos for the iPod and iPhone... outside of that, their products really aren't all that.
