Thank god! I hate it when websites about tech compare new tech products to other ones.
"You see, none of us have ever heard that the rest of the world calls it soccer."

That's obviously not what I meant. Take two:

You see, none of us have ever heard that the rest of the world calls soccer "football."
Thanks for that clarification. None of us were aware. Now, when I'm hanging out in America, and and somebody mentions football, I'll disrupt the conversation and ask if they mean that stupid American version, or the real version. Everyone will probably thank me for being so damn worldly!

You see, none of us have ever heard that the rest of the world calls it soccer. We're all individually to blame for the different terms. Not to mention the metric system. We've never even heard of it.
"Isn't the Justin long campaign apple has just in response to how Apple does what Microsoft does, supposedly better?"

Did Windows come out before MacOS? I thought those Macs and Amigas I was using in the mid-80s had mice and Microsoft was still working on making DOS... different, not really better.

And how about the iPod, Apple's response to the Zune? What a bunch of copycats. Next thing you know, they'll come up with something to compete with the Zune HD - the upcoming one with a phone in it.
Part of the joy of having an ipod, and now an iphone, is that I don't NEED to listen to FM radio anymore. I'll take genius lists and podcasts, instead of the 20 minutes of content spread throughout 40 minutes of seriously obnoxious commercials. And the "content" is either music I wouldn't have chosen to listen to, or bad DJ's promoting local events I don't care about.
I know! And we have to keep buying these things we don't want! AAAAHHHH!

Or, maybe the people who watch more video than they edit would prefer a resolution in the same aspect ratio as many of the videos they watch. Unless 16:10 is going to become the new 16:9.
Why did somebody get paid to make a video that would be considered lame by late-night commercial standards?

Whoever "wrote" the background music seems to have just discovered sequencers and wanted to make something cool like that "hip hop rap" that the kids these days are listening to.
Hey wow, they copied the iphone and it might work almost as well! And its homescreen has a weird weather gimmick thing!
But he said "fail" in his post! How can you doubt such an eloquent argument?
"That in the future, computers will simply have a few (or several) Light Peak ports on them, and NO other ports, whatsoever. Is this the case?"

It's hard to tell what will be successful in the future, but from a purely tech perspective, it is possible that a new connectivity option might become ubiquitous for multiple types of data.

But I think it's worth noting that firewire800 could also handle networking, peripherals, audio, and displays.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a wireless trackpad to use with my older (2.5 or so years old) C2D MacBook that's perpetually docked to my home theater. Something sleek, thin, not too small, made of high quality materials. Ideally, it would natively support all of (Snow) Leopard's multitouch inputs, and even more ideally, it would have a charging dock / base. The only problem is that I'm not sure that such a thing even exists. Think you can throw me a bone?"
