@Anthony - "Sure, HP laptops die a lot, but can the high number not also be attributed to how many there are out there?"

RTFC - Data is based on rates, not overall numbers. That doesn't make any sense.
@rickjames - Thanks, that makes sense. However, Apple is very tightly woven into professional content production through Final Cut,
and presumably that's the only reason their part of the industry group. Otherwise, I've seen no indication from them ever pledging to support Bluray in relation to consumers. Why would they? It would cannibalize iTunes sales.
Sorry. F'd up comment system - that was supposed to be a reply to a reply on first post.

@Information Central - Apple has its own HD movie/TV distribution enterprise to compete with Bluray. How is that in any way "firmly in the Bluray camp"?
@3rdsun I have to disagree with your analogy. Notice the sticker and blue glowy ring on the Lebedev version.
I'm not sure I understand how this is not, at the very least, "inspired" by the MBA. The curved aluminum, black chicklet keys, even the packaging is nearly identical in most respects. Even the price point per spec.
Jobs has a history of punishing anyone who stood in his way - it doesn't have to make business sense. And the iPhone is about to launch in China. Makes 80 mil look like small potatoes.
seems like it would never stay on your lap.
@Steve - I've seen you make this exact comment on multiple Engadget posts today. WTF?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
