There is an 8gb version coming out in April, the 2 and 4 gb versions are believed to be released in February.
is the 4gb also gonna be black on the back?
only thing that I want to know is how scratch proof is it? It looks kinda vulernable to sratches, hopefully they did something like the Creative Zen V where it's a glossy yet durable finish?
i actually don't like the design of the clix2. yeah the thinness is nice, as that's one of the problem area's of the current, but the way it looks, reminds me of my old archos gmini 400 without buttons and a larger screen. it also vaguely brings up a nintendo ds in my mind. it doesn't look bad, but i don't know if i like the beveled face. i liked it better flat actually, looked cleaner and more professional in my opinion. this look gives it a "toyish" look in a slight way, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but i think they should'ved kept the flat surface, and just thinned it out. the extra memory is nice though, and battery life should be better, especially if they took out the sleep mode when you "shutdown" the player.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
